An artistic and landscape immersion in the heart of the Hortillonnages of Amiens

Dear visitors,<\/p>\n

From May 22 to October 11, 2026<\/strong>, dive into the heart of the Hortillonnages of Amiens<\/strong> for the 17th edition of the International Garden Festival | Hortillonnages Amiens<\/strong>! A unique artistic journey between land and water, about fifty\u00a0contemporary creations<\/strong> transform this exceptional natural site into a true open-air museum. The jury will meet soon to discover and select the works for the next edition.<\/p>\n

Since 2010, the Festival has celebrated young creativity by offering a platform for landscape designers, visual artists, and architects. Their works, designed in harmony with the landscape, address the major environmental challenges of our time: biodiversity, water management, fragile ecosystems, and sustainable development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The gardens and art installations of the International Garden Festival | Hortillonnages Amiens, set on small islands, create a poetic route<\/strong> inviting visitors to discover this unique environment from a new, curious, or even playful perspective. This exploration, on foot or by boat, offers a gentle immersion and encourages reflection on the links between nature, culture, agriculture, and heritage, while tackling issues related to climate change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The International Garden Festival was awarded the European Garden Award 2024 \u2013 Best Contemporary European Park and Garden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Over the 15 previous editions, nearly 234 gardens and installations<\/strong> have been produced by 358 landscape designers, artists, and architects<\/strong>, enjoyed by more than 680,000 visitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Social and Inclusive Commitment<\/strong>
The Festival places people at the heart of its project, with an inclusive and engaged vision. Since 2010, it has welcomed Civic Service volunteers<\/strong>, who, supervised by guides, ensure visitor reception. A professional integration program also enables people in precarious situations to work on garden maintenance and support for the artists. Furthermore, the Festival\u2019s vegetable production is redistributed to local social and solidarity economy organizations, strengthening its positive impact on the territory.<\/p>\n

In Camon<\/strong>, navigate independently aboard an electric boat and let yourself be surprised by about thirty gardens and art installations. A 2.5-hour ride along the water, between art and nature.

Last departure at 4:30 pm. to fully enjoy the ride (duration: 2.5 hours). Departures after this time may sometimes be possible depending on availability, provided return is no later than 7 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n

New in 2026, in July and August, guided tour of a selection of works and gardens every Sunday at 4.45 pm at Port \u00e0 fumier.<\/strong>
