Coup d’œil entre deux eaux > Atelier L.J.N., 2018

The Bouvaque park in Abbeville, consists of two large lakes set amongst woodland. The parks is the largest green space in the Abbeville area and although it is criss-crossed by many paths, none of them lead to well identified stopping places, in fact the Bouvaque Park has very few places to sit and observe the surrounding nature. To fill this gap the Atelier L.J.N. has devised a series of observation platforms on stilts installed between the two lakes. The surprising and sculptural geometric form of these observation cones punctuates the long straight line of the path. In the middle of the marshy landscape, their tall silhouettes attract walkers and provide them with a privileged view of the water and the banks of the lake.
